Indian Most Major Religions
|
|
India is home to most major religions, which coexist with a fair degree of harmony, supported by India's secular Constitution and tradition of respect for all forms of spirituality. Hinduism is India's predominant religion. Buddhism and Jainism were founded in India, as was Sikhism. Christianity vended its way to India before it reached Europe and Islam, in the Prophet's lifetime. Zoroastrianism took refuge in India and India is the only place in the world where Jews have not been persecuted. And a landmark of New Delhi is a Bahai shrine.
