When is an affair an Affair ?

An affair is where two people are involved in a sexual relationship and one of them is married or committed to someone else. It can range from one single act of infidelity, a one-night stand or a fling, to a relationship that may last several months or even years.Sexual penetration may not occur, though it usually does in the vast majority of affairs, but I would still describe two people as having an affair or being unfaithful if their relationship involved touching and kissing with relatively few or no clothes on, and where one or both were orgasmic.Not perhaps strictly defined as an affair, but I would suggest very close to it, is the situation where a man and woman feel very strongly attracted to each other emotionally and sexually and, though they have never been to bed, the possibility is always in the air.
                                            When they meet and talk they are very intimate with each other, they share thoughts and feelings they would normally reserve for their spouses and, because this relationship is very important to both, it is a secret from their partners. Affairs may be deeply loving and endure for many years, or they may just be a brief moment of shared lust. They do, it seems, come in all shapes and sizes.
