Contested Boundaries: Reading and Translating Cheran

Join the conversation as the renowned Tamil-Candian poet Cheran and translators Geetha Sukumaran and Anushiya Ramaswamy discuss how his poetry makes sense of war and its aftermath, foreground both his poems and the task of their translation. The discussion will be followed by a reading of Cheran’s poems. The event commemorates the late Chelva Kanaganayakam, Prof. of English at the University of Toronto.
